What I've found interesting is that, at the same time these viewing habits are changing, various networks are focusing attention on live audiences, often through various Twitter campaigns and "live" on-line polls and votes. That seems — counterproductive against current trends.
Personally, we watch almost nothing (save important events, of the election and sports variety) live; almost everything is done via DVR, with occasional streaming when something didn't get set up to record.
